About

I studied Molecular and Health Biology at the University of Genova, where I got my Ph.D. in Science and Technologies for the Environment and the Territory (STAT) in 2020 investigating the effects of natural and synthetic compounds on lipid accumulation and inflammation in hepatocytes, endotheliocytes, and adipocytes. From 2020 to 2021, I was a research fellow at the Department of Experimental Medicine at the University of Genova, where I studied an in vitro model of neuroblastoma differentiation. I am currently working as a Postdoctoral researcher at the Nanoscopy department of the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, under the supervision of Prof. Alberto Diaspro.

My current research activity focuses on investigating the nuclear structure and chromatin architecture remodeling involved in processes such as cellular differentiation and neoplastic transformation, in particular adipocyte differentiation/hypertrophy, and neuroblastoma retro-transformation.
