Cristiano Bortolotti was born in Casalmaggiore (Cr) in 1997. He received his BSc (2019) degree at University of Pavia and MSc (2019) degree at Politecnico di Milano both in Biomedical Engineering.
His Master thesis, titled “Glucose Sensor based on Printed Flexible Electrolyte-Gated Transistors with Floating Gates”, was carried out as guest student at the Italian Institute of Technology (Center for Nano Science and Technology, CNST) in the Printed and Molecular Electronics group under the supervision of Dr. A. Kyndiah.
After a six-month research fellowship at CNST in which he further investigated Master thesis’ topics, in November 2022, he started a PhD in Bioengineering at Politecnico di Milano under the supervision of Professor A. Aliverti, in collaboration with CNST. His research work is focused on the fabrication and study of wearable biosensors based on Electrolyte-Gated Field Effect Transistors for the continuous and non-invasive monitoring of metabolites in physiological fluids.
