About

Andrea Mancini obtained his Master's degrees in Physics from the University of Rome La Sapienza in 2017 working with Prof. Michele Ortolani. His thesis was focused on applying photothermal expansion AFM to study at the nanoscale the near-field interaction between plasmonic antennas and molecular vibrations.

In September 2018 he joined the group of Prof. Stefan Maier at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich where he investigated Surface Phonon Polaritons through scattering SNOM. He obtained his PhD in February 2023.

In March 2023 he joined the Vectorial Nano-imaging group of Dr. Antonio Ambrosio working on scanning probe microscopies.
