I was trained in Bioengineering at University of Pavia and, since my first contact with Bioinformatics, I quickly got interested in sequencing data analysis. I got my Ph.D in Biotechnology under the supervision of prof. Massimo Delledonne at University of Verona, where I had the opportunity to set-up bioinformatic pipelines for the analysis of sequencing data. In particular, I am very passionate about the Oxford Nanopore Technologies sequencing platform, which we could exploit to tackle previously unaddressed biological questions, such as on-site species identification and the characterization of very long Short Tandem Repeats. Now, I am bringing my expertise in data analysis to contribute deciphering transcriptional and post-transcriptional RNA dynamics at isoform level.
