His scientific trajectory originated from studies of circadian regulation and its interplay with metabolism and disease and progressively expanded toward cellular homeostasis, including autophagy and lysosomal function, and more recently RNA biology and RNA-targeting small molecules.
A central aspect of his work is the integration of complementary expertise in molecular and cellular biology, pharmacology, medicinal chemistry, genomics and advanced preclinical models.
