Tommaso Bocchietti is a Test Engineer at the Dynamic Legged Systems (DLS) Lab at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT).
His work focuses on system dynamics, model-based control, and embedded applications, with a particular interest in the development, testing, and optimization of quadruped robotic systems. He enjoys working at the intersection of hardware and software, with a focus on improving system performance and troubleshooting technical issues.
He is experienced with MATLAB/Simulink, ROS, C/C++, and major CAD platforms.
He holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering and an MSc in Mechatronic Engineering from Politecnico di Milano. During his academic career, he developed his thesis projects at RIMAC Automobili and the German Aerospace Center (DLR), working on the design of innovative electric vehicles and advanced algorithms for robotic manipulation and grasping, respectively.
