My research interests focus on the role of cancer associated fibroblasts in tumor progression. In particular, I am now investigating the role of non-coding RNA in the regulation of the crosstalk between breast cancer cells and cancer associated fibroblasts that may promote transcriptional reprogramming and cancer relapse. To study these mechanisms I develop 3D in vitro models that could copycat the tumor microenvironment.
